Stamats Integrated Marketing

Hey everyone! I hope the event went well today. I don't actually get in until mid-day tomorrow (juggling too many balls in the air), but I'm really looking forward to seeing you. I am presenting on Turning ROI into Return on Influence, and the premise of my presentation is to show how the social software tools allow us to humanize our web interactions, and how we can help build digital relationships that translate into real world benefits.

I'm very big on customizing presentations to fit the interests and needs of the group, and would love to know what you're struggling with, what you're hoping social media like blogging, social networks, podcasts, and the other tools might do for you, and where you want to know more (or less) in these areas.

What's going to be a session that leaves you thinking, "Wow! Chris blew my head off, and now I have something like 14 ideas I can take home and implement, if I want!" What's that look like to you?

Grateful for your thoughts.

--Chris...

I know I'm coming in late here... Chris, what are your thoughts on print/web strategies? You mentioned this morning to not waste time/$ on mailing $4 view books (we don't). But we wonder about how recipients overall view a customized print piece and PURL. If it's personalized and all about the recipient, do people REALLY tend to read it more? At least in print, it's still a one way communication.

Also for boutique and smaller brands and businesses. Example, I have a friend who owns 4 cabins on the Yellowstone River and provides complete vacation packages. He doesn't want to reach, and can't provide for, critical masses, but personal recommendation via social networks is perfect. Reaches the type of customer my friend wants (quality vs. quantity), and he has enough inventory to meet the demand.

Great one, Kathy. Regionalizing. I have lots of new ideas on that, actually.

Telling a story. Of all the presentations I've ever been at, and there are many, and their topics have been wide-ranging, the best are those that include personal stories, anecdotes and enthusiasm.

Using social marketing for regional brands. The world wide web is exactly that - and for local and regional brands, it is hard to personalize and effectively use for communications and marketing.
