Thanks to the 30 or so folks who joined Brenda Harms and myself for our pre-conference presentation, "Secrets to Online Recruiting Success." I hope you found it enjoyable, and that it served as a solid foundation to the rest of the conference.

One question to the group. Beyond the four fundamentals we highlighted--Brand, Strategy, Usability, and Engagement--I have thought about adding a fifth: Storytelling. This fundamental would talk about profiles, videos, presentations, other ways that an institution can stay away from an institutional voice by telling "sticky" stories.
And don't think about it in the time frame, BTW (I know one of our resident bloggers described our conclusion as "
breathless!" :) )--let's imagine we could either edit to fit, or split the session into two, with one being an overview of different technologies to imagine, and one on the fundamentals.
